Dan and his business partner, Joe Alvarez purchased NOS- National Office Systems in 1991. They share key responsibilities for managing the success of NOS. While Joe is responsible for bringing in the business, Dan is key in making it profitable. Dan has over 40 years of successful business experience including his years of ownership in NOS.

Dan is an experienced President/CEO with a demonstrated history of working in the business services and equipment industry. Before owning NOS, he was the Vice President for Savin’s East Coast Distribution and President of Paul B. Williams. Because of his strong skill set, he ensures that NOS continues to be a profitable, customer friendly, forward looking enterprise.

Dan studied in the BBA program at the University of South Carolina while on a scholarship as a quarterback on the football team. He also studied in the MBA program at George Washington University.

Joe Alvarez

Joe has a degree from George Mason University where he captained the soccer team to its most successful seasons and was inducted into the George Mason University Hall of Fame.  During that same time, he worked as an installer for NOS during the summers while in high school and college.

Joe and his business partner, Dan Harbison, purchased NOS in 1991.  Together, they have built a successful company with over 8,000 installations and still growing.  Through his vision, NOS has successfully grown to include specialty storage solutions, technology products of asset management with RFID and document imaging services, and glass/ demountable wall installation services.

Joe is an influential ambassador for NOS. He spends countless hours meeting, establishing, developing and maintaining corporate relationships with clients, business partners, and vendors.  He has a natural ability to “connect the dots” and has mastered the art of business networking.
